Joanne Adams completed her BFA, Medical Illustration (1979-1983) from Rochester Institute of Technology. She start working as a Medical Illustrator in University of Alabama at Birmingham(August 1983 – August 1987).
Joanne Adams is working as a Research Director and Medical Illustrator at JIS Orthopedics from February,1988.
Michael Sneller completed his B.S. (Biology), from The Ohio State University. He started working as a Personal Assistant to Gerald M. Rosenberg, MD, at Starpath Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. (June 2008 – July 2009).
He worked as a Research Associate at Joint Implant Surgeons, Inc.(September 2010 – September 2013 ) .
Michael Sneller is working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at JIS Orthopedics from September 2013.
Responsible for collecting, organizing multi data to ensure information is being properly recorded and assessed. Prepare findings and update databases to include newfound information. Assist other research associates with various tasks including data entry. Perform internet searches to gather relevant information and record any findings in a manner pursuant to protocol.
Started working for JIS Orthopedics May 15, 2006. I enjoy using my skills to contribute to exciting new advances.
Since performing the first total hip arthroplasty in the Midwest, we have been dedicated to serving our patients.
2018: 2018 marks the reorganization of JIS into 4 distinct departments and the beginning of JIS Orthopedics.
2018: Dr. Derek Snook brings his 16 years of clinical experience to JIS. His addition marks a new era for JIS allowing the practice to broaden the scope of orthopedic treatments to include spine & neck surgery/treatment.
2017: JIS welcomed Dr. David Crawford immediately after completing his fellowship at Joint Implant Surgeons. His addition expanded our offering into hip and knee reconstruction, as well as hip preservation and traumatic joint care.
2014: Dr. Jason Reed joins the JIS family as the busiest orthopedic surgeon in southern Ohio and his practice helped JIS expand into the southern half of the state including the Lancaster, Athens, and Marietta areas.
2012: JIS celebrated its 40 year anniversary and dedication to excellence in the field of Orthopedics
2010: One year later JIS expanded it’s Hip & Knee talent pool with the addition of Dr. Michael Morris.
2009: JIS welcomed Dr. Jason Hurst, who spearheaded not only the JIS Joint Preservation Institute but also a departmental expansion into Shoulders.
2003-2005: The JIS family grew again with the addition of Dr. Keith Berend fresh from his training at Duke University. Shortly after, in 2005, JIS moved from its original location to the state-of-the-art facility in New Albany.
1987:Dr. Adolph Lombardi joined Joint Implant Surgeons, which would be the beginning of a soon to be 50 year continued expansion.
1972: Dr. Mallory founded Joint Implant Surgeons. An orthopedic practice specializing in total hip and total knee replacement.
1971: Dr. Mallory, a true medical pioneer, performed the first Total Hip Replacement in Columbus, Ohio.
