Dr. Alexander Athey is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction. Dr. Athey completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He went on to become dual fellowship trained, completing an Orthopaedic Traumatology Fellowship at the renowned University of Washington’s Harborview Medical Center followed by an Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at the prominent Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia.
Throughout his career, Dr. Athey has made significant contributions to the field of orthopedics. His numerous publications, book chapters, and presentations focusing on multiple topics within orthopedics have advanced the field. His research is published in renowned medical journals and has been recognized at national and international conferences.
Dr. Athey is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Athey enjoys quality time with his wife, two sons, and their three dogs. Together, they share a passion for traveling, golfing, and spending time with family. Dr. Athey is currently accepting new patients.
